There are a number of activities planned for Region 5. Doc “Dave” Dockery, is working with AARP to provide technological education to seniors. He is planning a Senior Fair for next Spring. On January 29, 2011 the Northwest Florida Association of Computer User Groups will be having their annual Technology Expo. This is being hosted by a local college. It is a one day affair. There is no registration fee as they appeal to walk ins. Good luck NWFACUG.

The Florida Association of Computer User Groups (FACUG) will be again holding their annual Conference@Sea, aboard the RCCL Radiance of the Seas. They will be going to Mexico, from Thursday January 27, - Monday January 31 2011. They are very pleased by the amount of support being shown by computer User Groups and presenters in the State of Florida, as well as, many other parts of the country. Last year’s conference had an unprecedented, 350 people on board the Norwegian Sky.

I visited the King’s Point Computer User Group, in Delray Beach, Florida a recent addition to the FACUG lineup of User Groups. I introduced them to APCUG. They had been totally unaware of our existence. They are considering joining APCUG, their main interest seemed to be the website hosting benefit.
