I visited some user groups across the country and have had the opportunity to meet and talk with leaders and members of user groups. We had many user groups take the Live Meeting training and now we see user groups offering Virtual meetings using Live Meeting. Our Vendor committee has been busy working on get new vendors to support your groups. In this issue of Reports see the article about Magix Software, the 1st Nation Vendor presentation using Live Meeting.
As I talk to user groups I hear the same thing we all hear.
I wonder as I talk to groups, why we do not use some of the technology we have at our disposal?
I heard from some folks that “we have done it that way for years”, if we do not change we will continue to lose users and volunteers. Change is not easy but as some wise men once said.
This isn’t good or bad. It’s just the way of things. Nothing stays the same. RealLivePreacher.com
Nothing in the world is permanent, and we’re foolish when we ask anything to last, but surely we’re still more foolish not to take delight in it while we have it. If change is of the essence of existence one would have thought it only sensible to make it the premise of our philosophy. W. Somerset Maugham
