In Memoriam

APCUG is in mourning. APCUG Advisor Sandra M Hart (advisor for Region 9: AZ, CO, NM, UT) lost her husband Warren L Hart suddenly on 3/14/09, following a series of health problems. They had been married for 44 years. Because of concerns over identity theft, an obituary was not posted, and I have been asked to be careful in how much I publish. I believe it would be safe to say he is survived by wife Sandra Hart, and two children: a son, Kevin (wife Jill, Conner and Kathleen, who are teenagers and Jocelyn age 3), and a daughter, Karen (children Sandra Elsholz and Jason Moore). Warren will be buried in the National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, AZ.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Warren L Hart to: Children’s Hospital, El Zaribah Shrine Temple, 552 N 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008.

Former Advisor, and APCUG Reports proofreader, Barbara Manning, lost her sister Elizabeth Louise Kurnyta Dwyer (Betty Dwyer) on February 22, 2009

One of the speakers at the APCUG/FACUG Spring Conference, Elizabeth Stenger (also known as CallieDel Boa in Second Life), lost her father, Dr. Paul William Weiss, 76, this weekend, and almost cancelled her presentation on “Business, Education & Non-Profit In Virtual Worlds” Saturday, 10:30am. Since she went ahead with her presentation, I wanted to include her in our condolences. Dr. Weiss’s obituary is at http://snipurl.com/e0w96. Dr. Weiss is survived by his second wife (not the children’s mother) of 34 years, Susan Ellen (Stetson) Weiss; his children, Elizabeth Weiss-Stenger and Mark of Florida, David of Colorado, Rebecca of Idaho, Noah of Youngstown and Simon and Solomon of Canfield; and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Raymond and Ethan.

Elizabeth posted a memorial to her father in Second Life - Heaven’s Gate Memorial Park/Cemetery (199/41/23 - http://snipurl.com/e0xip) and her friend Burly posted one to her Flickr Photos (http://snipurl.com/e22xf), and I thought I would show both here, to graphically express our condolences to Sandra, Barbara, and Elizabeth.

Please keep Sandra, Barbara, and Elizabeth in your prayers, asking that God give them the strength to get through the mourning period.
