FACUG is getting into high gear for its annual Spring Conference. We have a new President, a cohesive BOD and new attitudes. This year’s conference looks like it will be among the best we have offered. We are inviting Region 4 to join us for the first time and share in this wonderful event. It will be held in Zephyrhills, Florida for the first time, on March 7, 8 & 9 2008. Where in the world is Zephyrhills you ask - just a bit north of Tampa. This is the major computer user group conference in the entire Southeast.
We have several new sponsors and vendors along with some of our old friends. Carl Loftstrom is in the process of creating an outstanding program. Some already in place include:
| Newsletter Design - Hook’em and Hold’em | June Wentworth |
| Learn How to Build a PowerPoint Presentation in Two Hours | Haag Brigitte |
| The Top Ten Ideas that will Fatten Your Treasury | Marie Vesta |
| Double Your User Group Membership in One Year! | Tom Thiel (L) and Sam Wexler (R) |
| Exciting Digital Photography and Video Editing | Ken Larrabee |
| Become a Green Star Certified User Group in 10 Steps | Carl Lofstrom |
| How to Create Award Winning Newsletters | Robert Black |
The registration fee is $50 for early bird by February 10, 2008, $60 by February 20 and $65 on site. Registration includes entrance to all events being held. Friday evening we will kick things off with an informal “Meet & Greet,” which will include finger foods and beverages. We will be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. The conference will end about 4:00 on Sunday, March 9. This is the bargain of the year.
Hotel rooms have been set aside at the Quality Inn & Suites Zephyrhills. The rate for FACUG is $69.99 for standard rooms and $82.99 for Suites.
