Do you call members who do not attend your meetings? Do you ask them why they have not renewed their membership? Do you already know why?
Do you know how and what people think about your group? What topics are of interest? Are the meeting dates good? What else do your members want from your group? Are there things that you could be doing better? What are the areas that need improvement?
How do you get these answers today?
These and other questions are what every user group should be asking regularly? Oh, by the way, we at APCUG should be doing the same.
Well we now have a tool for you!
We are now offering a brand new service to our membership. We have partnered with http://www.surveymonkey.com/ and now have an account that will allow us and YOUR user group to create Online web surveys. There is no charge for this service to current APCUG member groups.
We ask you to send us your questions, and we will create the surveys for you. We will host the survey and then send you the results. You can leave your surveys up for a day, month or year. We ask that you give us a week to prepare the survey for you. APCUG will send you a link to give to your membership. So that you can increase the response rates, you can create a custom popup invitation for your own website. Simply cut and paste the code into any webpage to start generating invitations. To minimize annoyance to your visitors, invitations will only popup once. For privacy issues, user group results will only be made available to the user groups themselves. To use this new service, send an e-mail to survey@apcug.net.
To start the process of understanding how APCUG is doing, we have created three surveys:
1 Survey on Membership in your group. Please go to http://tinyurl.com/2q89kt
2 Short web survey to look at what you feel we need to work on as major priorities issues. Please go to http://tinyurl.com/2wpncw
3 Survey on the 2008 APCUG conference and what topics you would like to see offered (the committee does have some room to add other topics at the present time, so here is your chance to give your input). Please go to http://tinyurl.com/2lskmy
Each month we plan on sharing our APCUG survey results with you.
